FYRLYT Driving Lights

The common perception is that HID Driving Lights are the ultimate in performance. FYRLYT has a different opinion that is worth considering. Not a compromise but a better overall solution.

Not All Driving Lights Are Equal ...

It is easy to be confused by advertising and 'advertorial' hype when comparing driving lights. Candlepower, lux, lumens, LED, HID, photo comparisons and even photometrics often blur the truth and the ownership reality. Let's get back to a basic consideration.

A driving light's output & product quality is the sum & relationship of its physical COMPONENTS:

  1. BULB (incandescent, hid or led - All very different!)
  2. REFLECTOR (shape, thermal tolerance, reflectivity and durability)
  3. OPTICS (lens & other surfaces - optical values and durability)

It is therefore possible to have as often is the case a high output bulb with a compromised reflector and or lens/filter design that results in poor light output performance. Additionally, product durability is defined by the housing and mount design, materials and manufacturing.
